Job summary
MSK Physiotherapy + Tier 2 Administrator
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our MSK Physiotherapy + Tier 2 Administration Teams. This full-time role will be split across our two services, so the successful applicant will spend 3 days each week (Tuesday-Thursday) working in the Physiotherapy Admin Team at Alexandra Park Health Centre and their other two days (Mondays and Fridays) in the Tier 2 Administration Team at Longsight Health Centre. Both these roles will help the teams manage the large number of referrals we receive into the services, and this will involve telephone contact with patients, booking appointments on computer-based systems, sending patient letters, texts and emails, and the management of waiting lists.
This workload underpins the MSK Physiotherapy + Tier 2 services and is fundamental in allowing our clinicians to provide the highest standards of care. Consequently, candidates will require excellent communication skills, experience working on relevant computer systems and have outstanding organisational and time management skills.
Main duties of the job
- To manage telephone enquiries from staff and patients regarding the Service and provide assistance with referral management between the inbound referral software systems and the EMIS waiting lists.
- To assist the Physiotherapy and Tier 2 administration teams booking patients and sending appointment letters to patients to support the service work flow and delivery of targets.
- To assist the administration team in the MSK Service to complete essential mandatory tasks, such as archiving, stock management and audit.
- To assist clinical staff to develop Service promotion and information tools in both paper-based and electronic formats.
- To assist clinical staff with completion of service development projects, such as developing and implementing new clinical treatment initiatives, audit collection and research data collection.
- To assist clinical staff with monitoring health and safety standards, and to produce and action developments and initiatives to ensure the MSK Service meets its specified requirements.
