Job summary

The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital provides specialist healthcare services for children and young people throughout the North West, as well as nationally and internationally. We currently have Band 5 Staff Nurse Posts available within Paediatric Critical Care at The Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital and we would welcome applications from experienced nurses,

Main duties of the job

The department is a lead centre for Paediatric Intensive Care in the North West and our department includes a regional dedicated Paediatric High Dependency Unit. Both areas within Paediatric Critical Care offer specialised accredited intensive care & high dependency nurse training. Our Intensive Care is a 21 bedded unit and as such, is fast paced and dynamic, with the majority of work being emergency led. Our Paediatric High Dependency is a 15 bedded unit with emergency led patients from our Paediatric Emergency Department and elective post-operative patients from a variety of specialties. We are looking for individuals committed to supporting a large team using our 'What Matters To Me' approach. In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate whilst clinically rotating between our two Units. The Children's Hospital is based in the vibrant and exciting city of Manchester with easy access to airport and rail services and the door to a range of career opportunities. We offer on-site parking for nursing staff and provide staff with a bespoke induction programme and a supernumerary period.
