Job summary

The SDEC model aims to reduce unnecessary admissions, ensuring patients are cared for in the right place at the right time. At North Manchester we strongly believe in the role of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner. With protected non-clinical time, we actively strive to provide an environment that will develop you as an autonomous practitioner, gaining the clinical skills essential for the role and working within the four pillars of advanced practice.

Main duties of the job

You will be supported by a diverse team of Acute Medical Doctors, ACP's, Nursing team with senior Medical Consultant oversight, autonomously assessing, investigating and managing same day emergency medical patients. There will be opportunity to develop own personal skillset, procedural, management, teaching and involvement in pathway/service development. There is potential to expand into other areas of practice and work closely alongside the Virtual Ward.

This truly is an exciting time to join North Manchester. A once in a generation opportunity will see our hospital rebuilt and the creation of a health village within our grounds. This is a real opportunity to become involved with these changes and be part of the new future of the site. You'll thrive in our open, inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone matters, and is respected for who they are.
