The Northwest of England has joined together to form a Maternal Medicine Network: this includes the three local maternity systems being Greater Manchester and East Cheshire (GMEC), Cheshire & Mersey (C&M) and Lancashire and South Cumbria (L&SC) working with commissioners, providers, Clinicians, the Maternity Clinical Network, service users via the Maternity Voices Partnerships and has the support of the integrated Care Boards.

Maternity Services have the opportunity to recruit an MDT coordinator for 18 months fixed term (secondments will also be considered) to support long term aspirations to develop the Maternal Medicine Service.

We are searching for a dynamic, experienced administrator who is enthusiastic and proactive with excellent IT skills and the ability to work with a team whilst using their own initiative, to join our diverse, friendly team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Lead Obstetrician and/or Obstetric Physician for the Maternal Medicine Centre at St Marys Hospital, Oxford Road which is one of 3 within the Northwest MMN. The purpose of the MMC is to enable collaborative working between obstetricians/obstetric physicians / lead specialist midwifes to provide clinical leadership and improve the care of women who are pregnant and have acute or chronic medical conditions across the Northwest.

The post holder will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the weekly Maternal Medicine MDT, ensuring all meetings run effectively and are well structured following the appropriate governance structure.
