Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join our Managed Clinical Service Quality and Safety Team as a Quality and Safety Manager within Clinical Scientific Services. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse divisions and teams across MFT sites to promote and develop work streams to improve quality and safety across the MCS.

This interesting role has a broad scope encompassing patient safety, risk management, compliance, and complaints amongst others. This exciting opportunity is ideally suited to those looking to further develop their knowledge of the governance and quality agenda via wide exposure to working at Divisional and Managed Service level. The MCS is large and complex, with key relationships and working arrangements that sit across several hospital sites. The role would suit an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building solid working relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members.

Main duties of the job

You will be based within the Governance Team at Oxford Road Campus supporting the CSS Quality and Safety Leads and working with Governance Leads within the 5 Clinical Divisions in CSS, which are Critical Care and Anaesthesia, Laboratory Medicine, Imaging, Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy.

You will have been educated to degree level studies (or equivalent) and have experience working at a senior level within a health or social care setting.

You will have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills and the ability to quickly establish effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues at all levels.
