Job summary

The Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington & Altrincham (WTWA) Chief Executive (CEO) position is one of our most high-profile leadership roles and is pivotal to both our organisation and the wider system. Reporting to Mark Cubbon, Group CEO, you will shape the future of WTWA as part of the overall Group vision, drive our objectives and work closely with clinical leaders and other key members of your workforce to embed a vision for WTWA that is clear, inspiring and delivers a sustainable future.

With substantial experience of producing impressive results complete with evidence of implementing service changes for the benefit of patients and staff you will be a bold, influential and emotionally intelligent leader. You should bring demonstrable experience of delivering outstanding operational results with senior leadership experience gained at Board Director level, ideally, having worked within a complex organisation similar to MFT or as a CEO in an NHS Trust smaller than MFT.

Main duties of the job

  • Contribute to the success of the MFT Group through visible and confident leadership as a very senior leader of the organisation.
  • Develop new, innovative and cost-effective ways of delivering care within agreed quality thresholds, ensuring that an ambitious transformation programme is in realised.
  • Ensure that WTWA delivers the MFT People Plan which supports the implementation of business objectives, incorporating national and local priorities.
  • Drive the WTWA objectives and the execution of supporting strategies by leading the WTWA Leadership Team
  • Engage with senior clinical leaders ensuring that functional leads engage appropriately with Group Executive Directors to support personal development and ensure professional accountability
