Saint Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) has been delivering services to people who have experienced sexual violence since 1986. The Children's SARC was established in 2006 to provide forensic medical and therapeutic medical assessment, support and therapy services to young victims and their families In 2017, SAFEPlace Merseyside joined the Saint Mary's Centre to deliver quality medical services to adults and young adults in the Merseyside area.We are looking for a dynamic Deputy Directorate Manager to join our team. This post will be based in Manchester at the Saint Mary's Centre but there will be some cross cover required at our SARC in Liverpool, SAFE Place Merseyside.. This post offers the successful applicant the unique opportunity of designing and delivering high quality medical and therapeutic services for children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual violence
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful individual with a desire to ensure children, young people and adults who require our services access timely, safe and quality medical attention at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.You will have experience of working in a health setting with experience of working in a challenging environment. You will demonstrate resilience and an ability to prioritise and manage workloads.It is essential that you have some previous experience of working within the field of forensic medicine and of delivering high quality care to victims of sexual violence.
You will be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team including forensic physicians, therapists, crisis workers, adult ISVAs, Children and Young Peoples ISVAs who work together to provide high quality responsive services.You will have the opportunity of being a part of a SARC team with a national and international reputation for first class sexual assault services, innovation and developmentThe successful post holders must be a car owner with a clean driving licence
