An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian with Critical Care experience to join our brilliant Critical Care and Trauma dietetic team at Band 7 level.
If you are highly motivated, passionate about Critical Care Dietetics and enjoy delivering clinical excellence as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in a large teaching hospital, then this job is for you!
You will be supported by our Dietetic Team lead and jointly manage the well-established Critical Care Dietetic team, leading on service delivery, evaluation, and development.

Main duties of the job
Experience in Critical care is essential and knowledge of other acute dietetic specialities is desirable. Patients on your caseload will frequently require complex artificial nutrition support
You will deliver high-quality, evidenced based care to critically ill patients in our High Dependency, Major Trauma, General Intensive Care and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, on the Oxford Road site at Manchester Royal Infirmary (Total of 75 Critical Care beds).
Our specialist services include Major Trauma, Regional Hepatobiliary Pancreatic, Major Vascular Surgery and Intervention, Transplantation and Encapsulating Peritoneal Sclerosis Surgery, Interventional Radiology for GI bleeding and Trauma, TIPPs for liver support, and Tertiary Renal and Haematology services.
You will be a key member of the Critical Care MDT, contributing to ward rounds, MDT meetings, staff training and service development. You will benefit and contribute to cross-site group supervision and service development, linking in with Critical Care Dietitians based at our Wythenshawe and North Manchester sites to develop evidence-based guidelines and embed them in practice.
You will be an integral part of our student training programme and support the learning and development of colleagues in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our team of seven Band 6s rotate yearly through specialities and you will support the development of their competencies.
