Job summary

We are known as Thrive in Education to support MFT's commitment to service delivery in line with the Thrive framework. The MHST will work in an integrated manner with partnership agencies and the ICB to provide Signposting and Getting Help elements of the Thrive offer.Salford CAMHS is located in Pendleton Gateway which is within the city of Salford and it serves a diverse community. You will be part of an expanding and energetic mental health service that welcomes applications from motivated and skilled individuals who put young people at the heart of service.

Main duties of the job

The position will require the following skills:

ability to conduct a mental health assessment

ability to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions including low intensity CBT

ability to work as an autonomous practitioner

ability to triage referrals including assessment of risk to place on the correct Thrive in Education pathway

experience of delivering groups and psychoeducation to children young people and families

ability to offer supervision, support and guidance to other members of the staff team

Qualifications

Essential

  • You must be registered/have accreditation with a professional body.
  • You must have a recognised qualification relevant to the post: SW, Registered Nurse, OT, Masters in CBT
  • Certificate in Supervision Skills and/or willingness to complete as part of the Senior role within the team.

Desirable

  • Leadership courses, management courses/qualifications, mentorship training
  • Post graduate qualification/ Masters in Therapeutic intervention or relevant specialism.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant post qualification experience of working with children and young people in mental health services.
  • Experience of delivering low intensity interventions in school and education environments.
  • Expertise in assessing and managing risk, including safeguarding: completion of effective risk management plans and liaison with other relevant agencies.
  • Experience of providing evidenced based assessments, formulations and treatment packages and effectively utilising ROMS
  • Experience of liaison and working with a range of other relevant agencies within a community model.
  • Experience of delivering group work and workshops to young people.
  • Experience of mentoring and supervision of others as well as supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of junior staff and trainees.
  • Experience in leadership and delivery of key performance targets.
