EPR Application Analyst - Various Modules
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), is the largest acute trust in the UK, with over 28,000 staff that care for over million patients a year. We've partnered with a world-class medical software company and went live with Hive in September 2022 , a brand-new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution that will bring all our patient information into one easily accessible place and make our services more effective than ever before.
Main duties of the job
As an EPR Application Analyst, you'll manage and configure EPR modules and adapt them to our working practices and standards.You'll work closely with our staff to analyse our processes, then agree on clinical and operational standards and future workflows to be incorporated into Epic, the software that runs Hive. To make sure our systems continue meet operational and auditing requirements, you'll also collaborate with our Business Intelligence team. You'll be required to lead on engagement with clinicians and other staff related to your module. But there are also opportunities to work with other EPR module teams across testing, security, user support and medical device integration. As part of your EPR training, you'll also receive recognised qualifications in an application module.
You'll be responsible for day to day system management fixing issues and picking up requests and planning how we can put the improvements into software sprints.
You will work closely with clinical and administrative / managerial staff, analyse their processes, and help them to agree best practice standards and future workflows. You will analyse and document current and future workflows, and either match these to those already built into the EPR system or facilitate agreement for changes in working practice. You will modify the EPR system using highly supplicated software configuration tools, so it works effectively for our patients.
