Job summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Support Administrator to work within the South CMHT Service Line. This role sits within the Talking Therapies Admin Team, it is permanent at 37.5 hours per week. The candidate may be asked to cover other teams within the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Division, when required. The location of the role is at South Block at St. Mary's Hospital in Newport on the Isle of Wight and is an office based role.

The successful candidate will have a recognised administrative qualification and proven level of experience in an administrative role, preferably within an NHS environment. This post will provide a wide range of administrative support to the team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to the IOW Talking Therapies team. There may be expectation to cover other administrative teams within the South CMHT Service Line. The role will involve a high level of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative procedures and IT systems used within the Trust. The post holder could be the first point of contact for the services and therefore requires clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.

The post holder works within departmental guidelines and procedures while supporting the effective running of the department which requires for example; managing patient appointments, reviewing and maintaining waiting list, updating clinical records both electronic and paper, recording referrals, collecting demographic information, actioning Subject Access Requests (SAR's), filing and ordering resources. Develop, project-manage, implement, administer and day to day manage appropriate cluster information systems, statistics, and productivity data.

To provide focus and support to the Team/Clinical Lead on business objectives - performance, governance, workforce, service improvement, information management, business continuity, communications, finance, and risk.
