We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter/Building Operative to join our Estates and Facilities team within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of carpentry and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of our healthcare facilities. You will work collaboratively with other skilled trades and staff to provide a high standard of service to our patients and workforce.

Main duties of the job
Door & Frame Installation and Repair - Install, repair, and replace doors, door frames, and associated hardware including locks, handles, door closers, and vision panels.
Fit rails, anti bump barriers, cupboards, shelving, and other storage solutions as required.
Reactive & Planned Maintenance -Diagnose and repair reactive issues involving roofing, building fabric, and flooring.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks efficiently and to specification, contributing to continuous improvement of maintenance standards.
Automatic & Fire Door Support -Assist with the maintenance and repair of automatic doors where faults are nonelectrical.
Undertake ongoing training and qualifications to competently maintain and repair Fire Doors across Trust sites.
General Building Works - Perform light building maintenance tasks such as masonry repairs, paving slab replacement, and other minor works within the remit of the inhouse maintenance team.
