Are you compassionate, motivated, and eager to make a real difference in patients' lives? Our friendly and dynamic Petersfield Inpatient Therapy Team is looking for an enthusiastic Rehabilitation Assistant to support the delivery of high quality therapy across our busy inpatient wards.
In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to help patients regain independence, mobility, and confidence. Your day may include supporting therapy sessions, encouraging patients with rehabilitation exercises, contributing to discharge planning, and helping maintain a safe, person centred environment.

Main duties of the job
To organise and deliver therapy activities as part of the agreed intervention plan for patients under the supervision of a therapist.
To assist the Therapists in carrying out interventions and to ensure the smooth running of the service.
The post holder works under the supervision of a therapist to carry out interventions with a defined group of patients. They should ensure that they work within the scope of their competency meeting Trust and professional standards and are expected to seek guidance when needed.
This role will provide support in management of risk, developing therapeutic relationships, supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Act as a role model for team members, supporting new or less experienced colleagues.
This role will demonstrate excellent communication skills, using them to engage, persuade or negotiate with clients with complex, at times challenging needs to ensure they are provided with the most appropriate care and support.
The Team consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Doctors, Consultants, Social Workers, and Healthcare Assistants who work together in an integrated way to provide co-ordinated, clinical support to promote independence and to improve quality of life.
