Job summary
We are recruiting to a Rotational Physiotherapist role. In this role you will rotate through six different clinical specialities across the Southampton and Southwest regions of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
You will work as part of a Specialist Physiotherapy Team, learning and developing your diagnostic, clinical reasoning and treatment skills through multiple specialisms. You will receive excellent supervision and access to appropriate courses to develop your skills and knowledge, while also being a key member of a very dynamic and forward thinking Physiotherapy team within the New Forest.
This role will give you the opportunity to utilise transferable skills and learn about a wide variety of conditions in each rotation, giving a fantastic range of experience to progress to more senior or specialised positions.
Main duties of the job
The rotation will comprise of:
- Musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy based at Lymington New Forest Hospital. You will see a varied caseload with acute and chronic MSK issues of patients from ages 16+.
- Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation and Community Stroke Team based at Lymington New Forest Hospital. Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation, the Community Stroke Team and the Stroke Review Service.
- Medical inpatients at Lymington New Forest Hospital covering the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), acute medical wards and medical rehabilitation ward.
- Community Respiratory Team
- Community Physiotherapy within the Totton and Waterside Integrated Care Team.
- Inpatient Rehabilitation based at Romsey Hospital.
The aim of these rotations is to build a strong foundation in a range of different core and specialist settings.
You will develop your skills in these areas with the extensive training programmes and clinical support to progress into your chosen specialism. Our aims to future proof our Physiotherapy service so training and education is high priority.
