Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly experienced clinician to join our Neuropsychology team based at Western Community Hospital in Southampton.
This role is for 18.75 hours per week.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the HIOWH Neuropsychology (West) service which provides neurological rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injuries including TBI and stroke. This will include providing leadership and supervision to the psychologists in the team and ensuring that the Neuropsychology service runs effectively and efficiently.
The post holder will be fully responsible for their own clinical case load as well as overseeing the clinical work of other clinical psychologists within the team and managing the triage and allocation of referrals into the service. They will work primarily with out-patients but may visit some clients in their own home and will also provide input for family members and others involved in the client's care. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for making decisions about service development and implementing change within the service. You will be joining an experienced team of 10 Clinical Neuropsychologists and Clinical Psychologists in Neuropsychology.

Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist neuropsychological service to patients with acquired brain injuries.
This post will be based at the Western Community Hospital as part of the HIOWH NHS Trust Community Neuropsychology team. This service focuses on clinical neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for adults, with an acquired brain injury with cognitive, emotional and behavioural sequelae, living in the community with their partners, family and carers. The service aims to minimise the negative effects of brain injury and to maximise the neuropsychological and emotional functioning of clients referred to the service.

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
- Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) or equivalent postgraduate training recognised by BPS and HCPC (for those qualified outside the UK or before 1996).
- Postgraduate qualification conferring eligibility for chartership by the British Psychological Society including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner Psychologist.
- Post-doctorate training in Neuropsychology recognised by the BPS (QiCN or equivalent).
- On BPS Division of Neuropsychology Specialist register of Clinical Neuropsychology.
Desirable
- Formal training in supervision of qualified clinical psychologists and trainees.
Experience
