We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to support students across nine schools in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, and the Isle of Wight. You will work closely with a small, dedicated healthcare team, helping school staff feel confident in providing care and ensuring every child can access education safely.

Current role based in St Georges and Medina House school and is term time only of 30 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
The special school nursing Health Care Support Worker (SSN HCSW) will work as part of the special school nursing team in a multiagency and multidisciplinary environment.
- You should have knowledge and experience of clinical skills including, but not limited to epilepsy and seizure management, enteral feeding, medications administration, clinical observations, suction, oxygen administration.
- Your main duties will include growth monitoring, medications management support, health promotion, trouble-shooting clinical equipment, stock monitoring and cleaning, clinical observations and PEWS, documentation and caseload management.
- You will support the Special school nurses with specific delegated tasks and skills including clinic support, referrals to other services, transition into and out of school or to adult services, support the training of school staff, attendance at safeguarding and multidisciplinary meetings and clinical administration support.
- You will be responsible for maintaining your own training, CPD and competency.
