Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 3 Administrator to join our Children's Community Nursing Service supporting the Children's Special School Nursing Service, and Children's Asthma in Southampton.
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed administrator, who has excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. You will be part of a skill mixed team, working to build on good performance in order to maximise the contribution of the Children's Community Nursing Service.
The successful applicant will need to have good time management skills, be self- motivated with a positive attitude. In addition to these skills all administrators need to be customer focused, have an excellent telephone manner and proven IT skills, knowledge of SystmOne and the e-Referrals Service would be an advantage and have experience in using Microsoft programmes, such as Excel, Word and Outlook.

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly, forward thinking team and will need to demonstrate resilience, identify areas for improvement, put the patient first, work to deadlines and use their initiative to mange conflicting priorities.
This is a part time role of 22.5 hours Wednesday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of a skill mix team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the service including Specialist School Nursing and Asthma Service
To effectively prioritise and manage own workload and oversee workload of team as necessary, whilst maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, as you will be working with extremely confidential and sometimes distressing information
To work flexibly and be willing to cover any administration tasks across the wider Business Support teams
Produce letters and/or emails using standard Trust templates, ensuring accurate filing, recording and distribution
To work without direct supervision and show extensive use of initiative in prioritising and making decisions in relation to effectively supporting the smooth operation of the service
To carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of Solent NHS Trust, in accordance with management requirements and appropriate to banding
All duties will be carried out within the Trusts Information Governance, recording, and data sharing procedures and guidance
Occasional home working at weekends will be required.
