Set in picturesque grounds In Winchester, Blake Day service offers a community based programme, that allows young people and their families to be supported in their journey towards recovery, You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the variety of interventions on offer, including meal planning and support, multi-family programme, activities and creative therapies.

This is a Monday to Friday service, with lots of training opportunities and chances to learn and develop new skills.

Main duties of the job

To provide a nursing assessment when appropriate, of referred cases to determine the suitability for mental health nursing intervention.

To ensure effective delivery of recognised eating disorder treatment pathways and national eating disorder screening tools (such as MEED)

To act as a prime provider of care for allocated patient(s) by planning, assessing and evaluating patient programmes of care.

To frequently prepare for, participate in and attend multi professional meetings.

To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatments including the custody, storage and administration of medicines.

To work collaboratively with families.

To support other disciplines with the facilitation of therapeutic groups and activities.
