Administration Secretary
The closing date is 22 February 2026
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire & IOW Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for an efficient and motivated Administration Secretary to join the South Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. As a team, we support individuals with acute mental health needs requiring intensive input to remain in the community. The team also works collaboratively with our colleagues on the wards at Antelope House to help reduce the amount of time patients remain in hospital by offering support via hospital at home.
Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will be to provide a quality telephone and administrative support service to the multidisciplinary team; you will be the first point of contact for service users, carers and professionals, therefore excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm is essential.
You will be required to produce clinical letters on behalf of our team practitioners and consultants (some of which may be required to be transcribed from our audio system), take minutes at monthly team meetings and perform a range of other general administration duties.
An ability to multitask within a busy office environment is essential, as is the ability to remain calm dealing with a high volume of calls, some of which may be challenging.
You will work efficiently with our systems and processes, ensuring the security and accessibility of relevant information and documentation, and to help underpin the smooth running of the office.
You will work under the direction of the team Administration Supervisor, but will be capable of using your own initiative.
We are a forward thinking and innovate team with a passion for Quality Improvement.
If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, resourceful and resilient individual who is committed to providing care with compassion to service users in their recovery, then the team are looking for you!
