Job summary

We are pleased to be recruiting to a Clinical Team Coordinator (CTC) post within our Southampton Mental Health in Schools Team (MHST). We work dynamically and creatively with our local schools and colleges to support pupils, families and education staff with a focus on prevention and an early intervention stage within their wellbeing journey.

Band 7 Clinical Team Co-ordinator: Mental Health in Schools Team (MHST)

Southampton MHST offers city-wide coverage for its schools and colleges, where the teams will work within education settings to provide early intervention and prevention work for mild to moderate mental health issues and provide support to staff in schools and colleges. Teams also act as a link with local children and young people's mental health services.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for candidates who have either a low intensity or high intensity CBT qualification and are registered with the BABCP. Candidates should also have a supervisory qualification and specialist knowledge and skills within children's mental health alongside strong leadership experience. The post holder will work alongside the Team Manager and Clinical Lead as part of a dynamic mental health team in a creative environment where evidence-based interventions, new ideas, ways of working and supporting children and young people are actively encouraged.

  • * Professional qualifications relevant to CAMHS e.g. Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Other related therapies.
  • * Degree or equivalent level training relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health
  • * Significant senior practitioner experience in CAMHS setting.
  • * CBT Therapist qualification (Low or High Intensity) with BABCP or BCP Accreditation

  • *Experience of working with complex children, young people, and families, experiencing mental health and trauma difficulties
  • * Supervisory skills -- caseload management and clinical supervision
  • * Ability to chair and facilitate team and multi-agency meetings.
