Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Stroke

Don't miss this rare opportunity to work as part of the Lymington Stroke Therapy service. The service provides rehabilitation to individuals with a new diagnosis of Stroke, as inpatients on our Stroke Rehab Unit at Lymington New Forest Hospital or in the community as part of our Early Supported Discharge service. The Team also provides the New Forest Stroke Review service.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Stroke Therapy Team.

Within this role, you will act as clinical lead for our inpatient service and provide professional clinical expertise across the whole Stroke therapy service. You'll play a key role in the smooth running of Deerleap Ward, working closely with the Ward Manager to coordinate triage, optimise bed flow, and lead initiatives that enhance both service delivery and staff development.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical expertise across the Stroke Therapy team ensuring a high quality, efficient and effective service to Stroke patients

To provide a clinical leadership role with specific responsibility for the inpatient Service, while also supporting fellow Clinical/Operational Leads across the broader Stroke Therapy Service to continue service development, ensure evidence-based practice and guide the development of the team.

To undertake responsibility of the supervision, training and appraisal of all grades of staff within the team including therapy students.

To lead service development within clinical area, monitor standards of practice and develop multidisciplinary management of patients
