We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and organised person who enjoys being part of a team. This is an opportunity to join the Fareham and Gosport Older Persons Community Mental health Team as a Team Clerk/Receptionist. You must have excellent communication and IT skills commensurate with this role.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients and any visitors. You will be responsible for day-to-day administration tasks such as scanning and filing, room bookings, making and receiving telephone calls, document management and all other administrative duties as required by the service
We are looking for someone who likes to be busy; works well in a team and can communicate well with staff and members of the public. You will be an effective and experienced receptionist and administrator, comfortable with using your own initiative.
As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach. Previous experience of working within an NHS environment is desirable, full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job
Provide first point of contact for service users and visitors for written (emails and letters), face-to-face and telephone contacts.
The role will necessitate confidentiality at all times, with contact being face to face and via the telephone, requiring tact, sensitivity and reassurance at all times.
Direct Service users and visitors accordingly or take messages and contact clinical staff as required.
Accept, sort and distribute mail inc. emails (generic email accounts) appropriately. E.g. Filing and retrieving notes from offsite and scanning documents into Service Users electronic notes etc.
Process internal and external referrals received into the service by e-mail, electronically or post.
To support with booking appointments, assessments with Service Users as directed by Team Leads, Managers, clinicians, and Consultants within OPMH CMHT.
Enter data as required onto the relevant IT systems.
To support and ensure all administrative processes including the handling of patient medical records, electronic systems and filing systems within the team are adhered to at all times.
Photocopying, collating and distribution of documents as required.
To manage the room bookings prioritising clinical requirements first.
To support the Admin Lead/Team Manager with building management e.g. entry fobs for new starters.
Flexibility to support the team during breaks, holidays, sickness and training.
