Job summary
Undertake general Inpatient Ward administrative duties and provide administrative support to the Ward Manager, Clinical Administration Manager.
To maintain a high standard of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
To assist with the smooth running of the ward.
Main duties of the job
To answer the telephone in a professional manner, filtering and directing calls as appropriate, taking messages and ensuring they are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
To use discretion and maintain high confidentiality at all times.
To ensure all e-mails are answered quickly and effectively.
To assist in maintaining stationery stock, supplies, to include ordering.
To maintain current electronic, EDMS, and hardcopy filing systems.
To attend team meetings and training days as arranged.
To take meeting minutes and provide accurate and timely reports when requested.
To assist with the preparation, collating, photocopying and distribution of ward related documentation.
To prepare admission documentation for new patients.
To assist with the planning and arranging of patient admissions, discharges or transfers.
To undertake any other task this may reasonably be expected of the post holder, as directed.
Use Trust systems to input electronic data as required.
