Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a part time Administrator to work at Southfield, low secure unit. Ideally this role will be 30 hours per week. This role is an integral part of our established multi-disciplinary team which includes; Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Support Workers, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. The successful applicant will work as a member of our existing administration team to provide full administrative support to the medical and clinical team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and well-motivated individual. You will need to be hard working and have comprehensive verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent time management. You will need to be IT literate, able to work with different computer systems confidently and demonstrate expertise in the full range of administrative skills. You will be well organised, able to prioritise and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative. The role will include a wide variety of administrative tasks such as data inputting, typing, word processing, minute taking and co-ordinating meetings.
Main duties of the job
The role will require you to work as a member of the Admin Team, undertaking all administrative and clerical responsibilities to support the medical team at Southfield Low Secure Unit. As part of this role you will provide secretarial support to the Consultant Psychiatrist, Ward Manager, Charge Nurses, and the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
The post holder will be expected to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support including typing of general correspondence, minutes of meetings, letters, presentations, reports and reproduction and distribution of said documents in appropriate and confidential manner.
You will need to be able to communicate with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations, whilst always providing good customer service experience for all service users and others. You will also need to be willing to provide cross-cover support to other administration colleagues as required.
