Are you looking for a role where your organisational skills and attention to detail can make a real difference to patient care? Join us as a Medical Workforce Assistant (Capacity) and play a key part in supporting our doctors and healthcare teams.

You will work at the heart of the Medical Workforce Team, ensuring that our services run smoothly and efficiently. From managing locum processes to maintaining accurate medical staff data, your contribution will help deliver safe, effective, and timely healthcare services.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and values being part of a supportive team where every task contributes to excellent patient care.

With opportunities to develop your skills, collaborate with a wide range of colleagues, and gain experience across multiple workforce functions, this is an exciting chance to build a rewarding career in the NHS.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will support the administration of temporary medical workforce processes, including liaising with divisional directors, managing locum bookings, maintaining the locum database, and ensuring timely timesheet processing. You will assist with medical rostering, keeping Healthroster records accurate, managing non-resident doctor rotas, and addressing rota issues as they arise.

Additionally, you will support doctors in training by collating rotation data, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth onboarding and leaver processes. You will respond promptly to queries, maintain accurate staff files, update ESR, and contribute to audits and reporting. We are seeking a proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Previous experience in administration within a busy environment is essential, with knowledge of NHS systems and medical staffing processes desirable. If you are motivated, adaptable, and passionate about supporting healthcare delivery, we would love to hear from you.
