Job summary
We are seeking an Admin Clerk to join the East Community Mental Health Team, based at Bitterne Park Medical Centre. You would be joining a large, friendly, hard-working team who strive to provide the best possible care for their patient group.
The East Community Mental Health Team offers secondary care for adults aged 18 -- 65 with severe and enduring mental health issues. This post will be part of an established, supportive administration team who support the clinicians with day-to-day activities as well as providing a compassionate and professional service to our clients.

We pride ourselves in delivering an efficient patient-focused service and therefore you will enjoy communicating with patients and have a respectful, caring manner. You will need to have the capacity to manage complex, sensitive and confidential information.
The successful candidate will need to have sound IT knowledge and skills as you will be using various Microsoft applications.
A good standard of literacy and numeracy is required, along with good communication skills both oral and written.

Main duties of the job
Preparing paperwork, packs, and other documents as directed by the line manager.
Assisting in the preparation and setup of resources for educational events.
Maintaining both electronic and hardcopy filing systems, along with managing local intranet pages.
Organising meetings, including preparing agendas and supporting paperwork.
Responding to team inbox emails promptly and effectively.
Supporting the handling and distribution of post and packages, including Secondary Care Records.
Maintaining and updating electronic diaries/calendars.
Managing and editing local intranet pages.
Using computer systems to process information related to post, records, and other administrative tasks.
Responding to emails and completing administrative work via computer-based systems.
Ensuring information security and following protocols for electronic data handling.
Collaborating in a flexible and dynamic environment, providing administrative support across various teams and locations.
Participating in team meetings and supporting colleagues in daily operations.
Supporting and assisting other staff members, as directed by the line manager, to ensure smooth operation and service delivery.
Answering the telephone in a professional manner, filtering and directing calls appropriately.
Taking messages and ensuring they are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
Interacting with patients, relatives, carers, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
