Job summary

We are looking to expand our dynamic and compassionate CAMHS Eating Disorder Team. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care for children and adolescents with eating disorders, offering a range of therapeutic services designed to support their recovery and overall well-being.

As part of our commitment to professional development, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Development Nurse (Band 5-6) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment and gain experience in the specialist field of eating disorders within CAMHS.

As a Development Nurse within the Hampshire CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, you will be involved in the assessment, care planning, and delivery of care for children and young people with eating disorders. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and therapists, to provide evidence-based treatment and support for patients and their families.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in eating disorders while working within a nurturing and collaborative team. You will receive excellent supervision and professional development opportunities, with the potential for career progression to Band 6 and beyond.

Main duties of the job

Provide comprehensive nursing care and assessments for children and adolescents with eating disorders.

Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Offer psychoeducation and support to patients and their families.

Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Support patients with physical health monitoring, including weight, nutrition, and medical stability.

Engage in regular clinical supervision and professional development activities.

Contribute to safeguarding practices and ensure all patients needs are met within the scope of the service.
