Job summary
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Nurse Associate to join our busy Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at The Limes. The successful applicant needs to be compassionate, proactive and will work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver high quality of nursing care that supports the health and wellbeing of our patients.
The Limes has two wards - Oak for patient needing a dementia assessment, and treatment and Fern which is a functional ward for older people (65+) suffering with acute mental illness.
The post holder will assume responsibility for delegated aspects of healthcare delivery, working within a scope of practice under the direction/supervision of a registered practitioner, assisting in the delivery of high standards of care and treatment to individual clients.
Main duties of the job
The Nurse Associate will be proficient, knowledgeable and competent. Educated to Foundation Degree level, or equivalent, they will continue to develop in their role through the acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competences, to be determined by the needs of patients, the service and the team.
The Nurse Associate will be involved in the delivery of healthcare with the level of knowledge, skill and competence beyond that of a traditional healthcare assistant/support worker. To work in creative and personalised ways to provide support and treatments, completing the work directly of value to the service user, ensuring their wishes and outcomes are always sought.
Working under supervision, the postholder will have responsibility for delivering nursing care to patients within a defined caseload.
