i2i Senior Nurse Practitioner / Mental Health Practitioner
The closing date is 17 August 2025
Job summary
We are looking to recruit Band 6 clinicians to join our dedicated and supportive urgent assessment and home treatment team (i2i) within Hampshire CAMHS. You will need to have a passion for working with young people and their families at times of crisis. You will be supporting them to remain at home or supporting the step-down care from hospital. We have a recently developed DBT model which is led from within the i2i team and therefore interest or experience in this is essential.
We are seeking highly motivated clinicians who have a professional registration as a nurse, senior mental health practitioner, social worker, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, clinical psychologist or other allied health professional.
These are permanent posts and full time or part time can be offered. This post could also support a Band 5 to Band 6 development opportunity.
I2i is a county wide service that has three hubs based in Basingstoke, Fareham and Ashurst. Positions available in all. Shifts are managed by a flexible rota system between 8am - 8pm weekdays and 10am - 6pm weekends and bank holidays. Being mobile is a key element so the ability to travel is essential.
Main duties of the job
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust delivers the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hampshire and this role will be based within the local i2i team. Outside of the cities in Hampshire, there are 7 community CAMHS teams as well as a dedicated Eating Disorder Service, an Early Help Service, including our Single Point of Access Team, and i2i Urgent Assessment and Home Treatment Team. Additional teams include a blended digital F2F team, and Paediatric Psychiatric Liaison Team to further enhance our offer to children, young people and families.
All of our teams work collaboratively and in partnership to deliver consistent high-quality care and treatment to the young people of Hampshire.
Key aspects of the role include provision of urgent mental health assessments in acute hospitals, risk management reviews, crisis DBT and home treatment for young people under the care of Specialist CAMHS, who require additional intervention for severe/complex mental health needs. Experience of risk assessment/management and collaborative working with young people and families is therefore essential.
The ability to work well within a team and forge good working relationships with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues are key components of this role. Experience of working in a mental health setting is essential for this post.
