Job summary
We are looking for Occupational Therapists to join our unique rotation in Portsmouth. You will have the opportunity to work across Inpatient and Community settings including;
- Older Persons Physical Rehabilitation
- Children's Services
- Adult Mental Health in the community and inpatients
- Specialist Palliative Care
- Community Neurology Service
- Urgent Community Response (UCR)
- Intermediate Care in an integrated community team.
A full induction programme and training is provided, and you will be provided with regular clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
You will have responsibility for a caseload of patients assessing their needs, formulating intervention plans, delivering interventions and evaluating outcomes. Working under the supervision of a Senior Occupational Therapist they must ensure that they work within the scope of their competency and that their practice meets Trust and professional standards. Rotational posts have set periods of time spent in different clinical teams.
We know that the development of our staff is essential to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care. We offer all of our newly qualified health professionals a comprehensive 10 month Preceptorship programme. You will be supported by an outstanding team of Practice Educators who will support and assist you in the transition from student to practitioner.
