Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Psychologist to join our friendly, energetic and forward-thinking specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. We are delighted to be recruiting a full time Psychologist to join our Psychology Team. Doctoral trainees in their final months of gaining their qualification are invited to apply for this post, as the role is a great post for those who are newly qualified, as well as applicants with experience post qualification who have an interest in working with young people with eating disorders and their families.
This is a great opportunity for a Psychologist to work within a specialist eating disorder service, delivering psychological informed interventions. As an integrated member of the team, you will work alongside colleagues from other disciplines, including family therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry, nursing and dietetics. The role allows for a diverse working practice, providing family-based treatment balanced with specialist psychological interventions. Our well embedded psychology team oversees a psychology pathway that provides a variety of interventions, that are formulation led and evidenced based.
The successful post holder will receive regular high quality supervision from a senior Psychologist, as well as opportunities to deliver supervision, to Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
*To contribute a qualified, high-quality specialist psychology service to individuals, carers, families and groups, within and across teams, in line with best, evidence-based practice and trust care pathways.
*The successful applicant will be supported by colleagues within the Eating Disorder Team and encouraged to attend County Wide Psychology meetings to support understanding of wider psychology provision, as well as acting as an opportunity for networking and contribution inline with job plans and professional development.
*The successful post holder will support our multi-disciplinary team to complete specialist assessment in a community setting.
*To provide consultation to colleagues and supervision to team members of the Eating Disorder Team in relation to psychological aspects of their roles, including the provision of psychology informed interventions to service users care.
*They will be responsible for holding and managing a clinical caseload and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning and prioritising of own workload and the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients, within the bounds of the service operational policy.
*They will also use analytical and judgment skills and be responsible for taking clinical management decisions, where appropriate, in complex clinical issues.
*Utilising research skills for the purpose of service evaluation, audit, research and teaching within the team/to various stakeholders.
