Team Leader - OPMH CMHT

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate clinician to lead Southampton East OPMH CMHT. The team is based at Moorgreen Hospital and covers the East of the City and includes nurses, doctors and clinical psychologists.

The team provides specialist interventions for older people with functional and organic illnesses in a variety of settings in the community.

Only open to applicants from Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS system, which is limited to: Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare FT, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton FT, South Central Ambulance Service, Isle of Wight NHS FT or Hampshire Hospitals FT.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be an experienced nurse with a passion for older peoples mental health and previously worked in a community setting.

You will have excellent communication and leadership skills that mean your team has the best opportunity to deliver great care.

Although this is a full-time post for the right candidate would be willing to consider part time.

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Evidence of development or training at degree level or equivalent which indicates a commitment to continued professional development and preparation for a senior leadership role
  • 36 months post registration experience
  • Recognised Mentorship qualification (applies to nurses)

Experience

  • Can demonstrate a commitment and ability to work effectively both within the multidisciplinary team and with other agencies
  • Can demonstrate their ability to play a key leadership role within the clinical team providing management, supervision and support as required
  • Experience of mentorship role in practice

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to car.
