We are looking for a part-time Physiotherapist to join our friendly AHP team working with Older Persons Mental Health Wards, Poppy and Rose. The wards have had extensive investment creating a motivating and comfortable environment for both the patients and staff.
The AHPs work together alongside the rest of the inpatient MDT team including nurses, psychology, medics, recovery workers, health care support workers.

Main duties of the job
*To deliver high quality, effective, physiotherapy assessment and treatment which maintains safety, maximises mobility and function of clients who are admitted to an Older Person's Mental Health (OPMH) ward, in-line with the Trust values.
*To work with patients, admitted to Gosport War Memorial Hospital's (GWMH) mental health wards for treatment of their acute mental health needs.
*To work within the Trust's guidelines, the relevant professional body, society and/or college and clinical guidelines.
*To fully comply with policies, procedures, best practice, mental health act, and personal safety precautions, keeping training and supervision current and meaningful.
*To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate Physiotherapy intervention.
*To lead the ward teams with the management of falls on the inpatient wards, aiming to reduce the number of overall falls through; assessment, history of the patient and proactive management.
*To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Physiotherapy services across the Older Person's Mental Health Inpatient Therapy services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
*Support and development physiotherapy technician skills. Working closing with her so work can be covered and continued in physiotherapists absence.
*To supervise physiotherapy students on practice placements and support students of all other disciplines on placement within the service.
