Job summary
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Medical/Dental Advocate within HIOW Healthcare NHS Trust. This role is specifically designed to improve the working lives, health, and wellbeing of consultant doctors and dentists across the Trust.
The postholder will work collaboratively with senior clinical and managerial colleagues to develop and implement local strategies that support professional engagement, job satisfaction, and career development. Acting as a dedicated advocate, they will represent the views and interests of consultant doctors and dentists, helping to shape a positive and supportive working culture.
A key aspect of the role is to ensure that consultants and dentists feel heard, valued, and empowered in their professional environment. The postholder will have the opportunity to influence and develop initiatives aimed at improving wellbeing, addressing challenges, and fostering a culture of openness, respect, and support.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the challenges faced by senior clinicians, and a commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture.

Main duties of the job
- Understand the unique pressures and responsibilities of consultant/dental roles.
- Advocate effectively and influence senior leadership.
- Liaise with key stakeholders on health and wellbeing issues.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies and the Data Protection Act.
- Participate in personal development and training.
