Exciting Clinical Opportunity at LNFH
We are seeking a dedicated Ambulatory Care based General Practitioner to join our dynamic team, delivering high-quality patient assessment and treatment within our trusted service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat appropriate patients within the service.
Collaborate closely with senior decision makers and advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs).
Support the ANP managing the triage phone each morning, assisting with decisions around patient admission and care.
Supervise and mentor junior doctors, fostering their professional growth.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake timely administrative duties related to patient care.
- Accurately and comprehensively record all clinical activity.
- Participate, where appropriate, in service and business planning activities.
- Engage in annual appraisal processes for doctors.
- Attend and contribute to the Trust's academic programme, including lectures and seminars as part of ongoing CPD.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
- Participate annually in a job plan review with the clinical manager and relevant managers to ensure the role evolves with changes in service delivery and modernisation.
- Collaborate with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient service operations.
- Manage, appraise, and professionally supervise junior medical staff as agreed with consultant colleagues and the Medical Director, following Trust policies, including competence assessment under the Modernising Medical Careers framework.
- Support junior staff to work within New Deal parameters and comply with the Working Time Directive.
- Comply with the Trust's policies, procedures, standing orders, and financial instructions, and actively support the Medical Director and managers in financial management and service planning.
