Personal Assistant/Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Community Specialist Division for an enthusiastic, motivated, Personal Assistant/Business Support Administrator for our Primary Care Team based at Gosport. This is a full time secondment for six months.

You will be supporting the Clinical Director, Associate Director and wider triumvirate of Primary Care. The post will consist of working on site (flexibility for choice within the HIOW HC trust sites exists), however there may be some flexibility with working from home one to two days a week, dependent on service needs. Main duties of the job

What you'll do amongst other tasks is --

  • Diary Management
  • Manage mailboxes, filing and flagging where appropriate
  • Typing correspondence when required
  • Minute taking

You should have knowledge and experience of working within a busy team with the ability to work independently, but equally as part of a team. Excellent knowledge of all MS applications including Excel and PowerPoint would be advantageous. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Be flexible and adaptable to change, with strong problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Essential

  • *NVQ Level 3 or Higher Education Certificate/BTEC or equivalent experience
  • *High level of knowledge equivalent to Senior Secretarial Certificate/Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
  • *English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • *Evidence of continuous professional development particularly organisational systems, staff supervision, business administration.
  • *Driving licence with use of own car

  • *Administrative or IT qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or 2 A/AS Levels
