Clinical Lead - Urgent Treatment Centre

Job summary

We are looking for experienced Clinical Lead to come and join our team here in Petersfield.

We are a practitioner led service, supported by remote GP's committed to delivering high quality care to the local population of Petersfield and the surrounding areas. The UTC operates 08:00 -- 20:00 hours, 365 days a year, offering treatment for both minor injury and minor illness to adults and children.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Petersfield Urgent Treatment Centre comprising a team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP), staff nurses, associate practitioners (APs) and admin staff in collaboration with the GP Alliance who provide overall clinical leadership. In addition to management and professional leadership responsibilities the post holder will continue to work as a senior ENP to maintain clinical knowledge and skills including the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.

The post holder will provide professional advice regarding urgent and emergency care to the wider team and be required to work to a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability, assure achievement of performance targets, meet the needs of the team and local population, lead on clinical quality, embed service improvement processes, and ensure continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a key leader in the delivery of outstanding care and treatment to the local population of Petersfield and the surrounding area by highly experienced practitioners at the Urgent Treatment Centre.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Petersfield Urgent Treatment Centre.
