Medical Staffing Coordinator

Are you looking for a challenging but rewarding role? This role is vital to ensuring the production, administration and daily management of the medical staffing recruitment across the SSW Division.

You will, in conjunction with the relevant consultant teams, be responsible for the creation of medical roles within the South & South-West Division. This will involve close liaison with key stakeholders, and an understanding of the demands and complexities of each service in order to support the provision of cost-efficient medical rotas.

You would play a pivotal role in ensuring appropriate internal locum cover and reducing the reliance on external medical agency usage, avoiding unnecessary associated expenditure.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage the medical staffing databases for group and individual job plans.

    To work as part of a skill mix team to provide a comprehensive administrative support service.

    To provide administrative support to the Clinical Director, Deputy Clinical Deputy Clinical Director and Medical Director as required.

    To cross-cover and support the wider Divisional Business Support team as necessary to ensure a seamless support service is maintained.

    To effectively prioritise and manage own workload and oversee workload of team as necessary, whilst maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, both independently or as part of a team.

    To work without direct supervision and show extensive use of initiative in prioritising and making decisions in relation to effectively supporting the smooth operation of the service.

    To carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of Hampshire & IOW Healthcare, in accordance with management requirements and appropriate to banding.

    All duties will be carried out within the Trust's Information Governance, recording, and data sharing procedures and guidance.

  • *GCSE English and Maths level 4/C or above, or a good standard of general education.
  • *I.T skills and Knowledge, especially regarding use of databases.

Desirable

  • *RSA 3 Typing or Equivalent
  • *Business Admin Level 3 NVQ

Experience

  • *Previous NHS experience in an administrative role
  • *Experience of working within a constantly changing environment without direct supervision.
