Job summary

Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse looking to make a real impact in public health?

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Band 5 TB and BCG Nurse to join our dynamic TB and BCG team in Southampton as a TB and BCG Nurse, you will play a vital role in the identification, management, and prevention of tuberculosis, including the delivery of the BCG vaccination programme. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families, contributing to the reduction of TB transmission and supporting individuals through their treatment journey.

Main duties of the job

Provide clinical care and case management for TB patients.

Deliver BCG vaccinations according to national guidelines.

Undertake contact tracing, risk assessments, and screening in line with public health protocols.

Educate and support individuals and communities on TB prevention and treatment adherence.

Collaborate with respiratory, infectious disease, and public health teams.
