Main duties of the job
In this hybrid post, you will deliver expert psychiatric care and clinical leadership within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will manage complex cases, promote recovery-focused care, and contribute to the continuous development of services.
Core responsibilities include:
*Leading clinical care within the Community Mental Health Team for adults aged 18--65
*Providing Responsible Clinician duties under the Mental Health Act
*Conducting outpatient clinics, triage, CPA reviews, and clinical supervision
*Participating in multidisciplinary meetings, governance activities, and quality improvement
*Contributing to teaching, supervision, and service development
*Working collaboratively across services, including primary care, crisis teams, and acute care
*Maintaining high standards of documentation, risk management, and safeguarding practice
*Engaging in a flexible job plan and opportunities for special interest development
Essential requirements:
*Full GMC registration and eligibility for the Specialist Register
*Approved Clinician and Section 12 approval (or willingness to obtain)
*Strong leadership, communication, and teamworking skills
*A commitment to continuous improvement and patient-centred care
