Job summary
Hamtun Ward is looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Staff Nurse, and support the team to provide holistic and person centred care to our service users. We are seeking passionate individuals who wish to provide practical, compassionate and non-judgemental care as part of a dynamic team that will support you to learn, grow, and achieve your own personal development and career goals.
Hamtun Ward is a 10 bedded Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit serving the Southampton area. We are committed to the ongoing development of our care to provide an excellent and collaborative service through promoting participation in activity, recovery and providing feedback of the service user experience to our team.
Our nurses need to have the initiative and autonomy to coordinate the shift, and complete the daily tasks and interventions that provide the holistic care for our patients, within the scope of their role.

Main duties of the job
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific group fo service users.
To supervise, mentor and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including studetns.
To co-ordinate the patient environment on a shift by shift basis.
To assess, and manage risk, ensuring everyone's safety
