Main duties of the job

As Specialty Doctor, you will lead on the clinical care of participants in research trials at MARC, ensuring safe, protocol-compliant assessments and follow-up.

Your responsibilities include obtaining informed consent, conducting physical and mental health evaluations, performing trial-related investigations, and documenting findings in accordance with Good Clinical Practice.

You will attend investigator meetings, support infusion clinics at Lymington Hospital, and may carry out community visits. You will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, research staff, and visiting clinicians, demonstrating clinical autonomy with appropriate supervision.

We seek a motivated and flexible professional with excellent communication skills, a thorough approach, and a genuine enthusiasm for dementia research. Prior experience in psychiatry and interest in memory disorders are essential.

The role includes opportunities to contribute to teaching, clinical governance, and service development, with protected time for professional activities and CPD.
