Job summary

We are looking for a dedicated Administrator to join our team!

Urgent Response is a fast paced, interdisciplinary community team aimed at preventing unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitating timely discharges from hospital. This is an integrated health and social care team that visits patients in their own home and completes assessments in ED creating a bridge between the hospital and community. Patients are over 18 with a range of health and social care needs.

You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient running of services within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a skilled team, contributing to the smooth operation of the Trust and providing high-quality service to patients and staff alike.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to all aspects of work.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, capable of working without direct supervision and using initiative to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in a similar administrative role is desirable, but not essential.

Main duties of the job

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the service, working collaboratively as part of a skill mix team.

Prioritise and manage your own workload effectively, overseeing the workload of the team as necessary to ensure deadlines are met and service delivery is maintained.

Demonstrate initiative and make decisions independently, while contributing to the overall smooth running of the service.

Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism at all times.

Adapt to changing needs of the Trust, carrying out additional duties as required by management in line with the needs of the service.

Ensure compliance with Information Governance, data recording, and data sharing procedures as per Trust guidelines.
