Job summary
We are looking for a Community Research and Evaluation Officer to join our growing team at Co-Lab as part of the Academy of Research and Improvement, Hampshire, and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
As part of Co-Lab's core team, you will work closely with the Co-Lab team to deliver evaluation, research, and training. Working autonomously, you will project manage commissioned projects, liaising with clients, completing data collection, and working alongside the wider Co-Lab team to analyse data and produce evaluation and research reports.
You will be responsible for delivering training programmes to our stakeholders across the community setting including voluntary, community and social enterprise groups.
We are looking for someone with experience of research/evaluation as well as excellent organisation and project management skills. Working with health, social and community-based clients, excellent communication, and professionalism is essential.
Main duties of the job
To work as specialist self-directed practitioner working autonomously to deliver and lead commissioned rapid evaluation/research projects.
To collect complex and sensitive data by using qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
To provide supervision to other members of the data collection team acting as project lead.
To work closely with the Co-Lab team to complete data analysis of complex information according to evaluation aims and objectives.
To write evaluation reports, PowerPoints, and other dissemination materials summarising analysis of complex data findings and results.
To manage and maintain a network of clients, working to develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
To liaise with clients directly and to manage projects to meet deadlines acting as project lead.
To assist in the design and planning of research and evaluation.
Work as part of a team to develop and add to evaluation/research grants/bids/proposals using specialist knowledge.
To promote and present work and Co-Lab brand at conferences and events representing as a specialist in this field.
To assist in the writing up work for policy and academic publication.
Working with the wider Co-Lab team to scope, develop and deliver future research and evaluation workstreams.
To use a high level of organisation skills to plan and deliver multiple complex projects at one time.
