Job summary
We have opportunities for Healthcare Support Workers to join our friendly inpatient wards at Lymington New Forest Hospital.
We are recruiting highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individuals who are committed to providing care and assistance to our patients. These roles are suited to individuals who want to be part of a supportive and thriving team, to help patients to regain independence.
Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
We can offer opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills and long-term career goals. You will have opportunities to work alongside our multi-disciplinary teams to support patient discharge.

Dearleap and Longbeech 2 -- Rehabilitation wards

Shift patterns for these posts will be a combined mix of days and nights and enhanced rates of pay will be offered.
Main duties of the job
1.Adhere to policies and procedures and contribute to their development.
2.Ensure employment of effective risk management
3.Assist in the implementation of evidence-based care in the ward/department.
4.Support the unit manager in meeting aims and objectives.
5.Identify any changes to working practice that would enhance the care of patients and report to the senior nurse.
6.Understand the importance of and maintain privacy and dignity and choice for patients at all times.
7.Understand the importance of disclaimer forms and the handling of patient's valuables.
8.Understand the need for effective communication and carry this out effectively ensuring qualified nursing staff are informed of any changes in the condition of circumstances of the patient.
9.Participate in service development as requested.
10.Maintain and clean equipment as necessary, accessing systems in place for equipment repairs etc.
11.Ensuring stores and nursing documentation are stored appropriately and kept topped up.
