Job summary
The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full time position.
The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behaviour experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a Community Clinic. They will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Talking Therapies model of delivery.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work within the NHS Talking Therapies (TT) Isle of Wight providing high volume low intensity interventions which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. Some evening work will be required in order to meet the needs of patients who work office hours.
The post holder will conduct initial mental health assessments for clients and deliver evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression within the stepped care model.
Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.
The post holder will deliver the evidence-based interventions via differing modalities such as a group setting, face to face, Video chat and by telephone.
The post holder will participate in clinical caseload management and clinical skills supervision on a weekly basis. Caseload management will be conducted in line with the Roth and Pilings guidance ensuring that every client is presented for discussion at least twice whilst in their episode of care.
