These are newly created clinical posts, that will help to build the ability of all UCRs across Hampshire and Isle of Wight to deliver two hour response to patients who might otherwise being waiting longer for a frontline ambulance.
These roles will make a huge difference to patients, our UCR teams and our partners at South Central Ambulance Service.
Main duties of the job
Based at the Ambulance Service HQ in Otterbourne near Winchester, you will provide senior clinical support to the SCAS Clinical Support Desk Team to ensure that timely referrals can be passed to your colleagues in the wider UCR teams. You will be supporting the management of the Ambulance Stack, from a frontline position.
Successful candidates will have a health care registration (NMC/HCPC), be passionate about delivering rapid access high quality care and be adaptable to meeting the diverse needs of patients, your colleagues and wider teams. This will be a role that requires the ability to build rapid relationships with new colleagues, professionally challenge others and advocate for the best outcomes of your patients.
Aside from a trust wide induction, and time spent with the various UCR teams throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, this role is primarily desk based and non-patient facing. Although not directly providing care, these post holders will have huge impact contributing to improved patient outcomes.
