Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Foundation Trust is delighted to introduce the role of a training administrator to the Oliver McGowan Programme in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. This role is an opportunity to be a part of the award winning national programme which is changing culture within the health and care sector and consequently making a difference to the lives of autistic people and people with a learning disability when accessing health care. We are looking for a well organised, self motivated individual who can respond well to working in a fast pace environment and is an excellent communicator at all levels.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the scheduling and logistical coordination of The Oliver McGowan Training Programme for health and care staff across Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS). This will include monitoring and maintaining the centralised booking system to ensure it is fit for purpose and meets the needs of our stakeholders, providing statistical data on training attendance, liaising as required with internal and external venues in order to ensure adequate training facilities and undertake general clerical duties providing administrative support to specific projects as required.

  • Educated to GCSE standard to include English Language and Mathematics Grade 4 or above or Numeracy and Literacy (Level 2)

  • Willingness to learn other Computer Skills

Experience

  • Understanding of The Oliver McGowan Programme aims and objectives and how the project team supports these
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads and time effectively
  • Evidence of delivering excellent customer service with excellent communication skills; both written & verbal
  • Excellent computer skills; must be confident in the use of
  • Microsoft Office Systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of excellent administrative and organisational skills requiring attention to detail and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Previous experience of an administrative role in a Learning, Education & Development department
  • Experience of using a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Experience of scheduling and logistics, maintaining complex spreadsheets / databases
