Job summary
The Assistant Psychologist will be required to support and enhance the delivery of psychological assessment and interventions within the perinatal mental health team. The post-holder will work under the direct supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of policies and procedures. To assist in clinically related administration, outcome measurement, and development of audit and/or research projects across the service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake audit projects and the collection of regular clinical outcomes as well as the presentation of the data at monthly psychology meetings. They will support with the delivery of psychoeducational workshops and manualised therapy groups under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist. They will need to be excellent communicators and demonstrate psychological skills of empathy and ability to work with families experiencing mental health difficulties.

- Entitlement to GBR from the British Psychological Society.
Experience
