Job summary
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, capable and caring individual to join our Community Nursing Team in Southampton as a Health Care Support Worker in the Southampton Community Nursing Service.
If successful, you will be working as part of a community nursing team based at Broadcast House, Southampton (moving to Oakley Road, Southampton in 2025). Community nursing provides care and treatment for adults with complex health and care needs. This care is provided in their own homes, care homes and clinic settings. You will be lone working but also part of a supportive team.
Candidates will ideally be in possession of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, but full training will be provided to enable you to fulfil your role. Training will be provided in a variety of ways - attending training sessions, online and working 1:1 with other clinical staff. Main duties of the job
*As a health care support worker, you will be part of a team who supports the delivery of nursing care to clients within their own home environment.
*Ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as delegated by the registered nurse.
*Under delegation of the nurse in charge, work competently and without direct supervision within an agreed framework.
